2020

In December 2020 I was in Riga / Latvia for one month on the occasion of an artist residency of the ISSP. This was not my first visit, in 1995 I travelled to the Baltic States for the first time, but the stay in 2020 was marked by one extreme, the Covid-19 pandemic, the whole city seemed like a backdrop.
Actually, the project was intended as a homage to the street photography of the 1950s, but the pandemic turned it into a document of a city at a standstill.
