The project "Gold" was developed together with the Archaeological Museum Frankfurt and the Georgian National Museum Tbilisi. The places shown in the photographs all depict archaeological sites from the Neolithic and Chalcolithic periods to the Bronze Age with the Kura-Araxes culture. The oldest gold mine of mankind dates back to this period. The myth of the Argonauts and their search for the gold fleece in Colchis, West Georgia, is today associated with the gold finds in this region.
